Cerebral provides several different package options, depending on the type of care you require and whether you’re interested in medication to supplement your treatment. Cerebral is currently offering a discounted first month rate for new subscribers.
Visit SiteCerebral providers fall into three categories: Medical providers, licensed therapists, and care counselors.
Licensed therapists hold a graduate degree as either a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or a Marriage and Family Therapist. Currently, licensed therapists are only available in Florida, but the company is working on expanding the network to other states. Therapists use cognitive-behavioral techniques.
Care counselors are paraprofessionals trained in behavioral and therapeutic techniques. They work in partnership with licensed therapists or medical providers to provide treatment.
Medical providers include psychiatrists, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

It’s simple to sign up and begin the consultation process. You begin by filling out an online form and listing your symptoms. Then, within 7 days of signing up, you will have a video visit with your prescribing provider. They will assess you and decide if you need medication in addition to therapy. After that, Cerebral will assign you to a care counselor who will provide long-term mental health support and devise your monthly care plan. As part of this monthly subscription service, you’ll need to speak to both your provider and your care counselor at least once a month to get your medication refills.
Cerebral allows both you and your care team to use standardized metrics to track progress. Every month, users respond to a standardized symptom-rating scale which, together with their video check-ins, allow both the users and the care team to track progress. Tracking symptoms allows the team to adjust medication and psychiatric care accordingly. This also makes users feel in control as they are tracking their symptoms at the same time.
Cerebral puts users' privacy and confidentiality first. In order to protect your identity and make sure your prescription medications go to the correct person, they require both a current photo and a copy of your photo ID before they will treat you. The service is 100% compliant with HIPPA regulation; all your information goes through strict and secure storage protocols and is visible only by your care management team.
Cerebral’s mission is to provide high-quality mental health care and make it accessible online, and their care model is designed with long-term goals in mind. They make it easy to get the mental health care you need and ensure continuing care. In addition to medication management as needed, care counselors give patients the tools and long-term coping strategies they need to manage and overcome their mental health troubles.
